The correct answer is A which is what you get when you use

Work Done by Air resistance = Kinetic Energy ( using final velocity)

I think this is impossible!

it is A.

it was supposed to reach a height of (u^2)/2g=3.26 but i only goes upto 1.9

this difference in height =(3.26-1.9)=1.36 is due to air resistance.

work done by air resistance= m*g*(height difference)=0.3*9.81*1.36=4
