15-2k = 45
+2k = +2k
15 = 45+2k
-45 = -45
-30 = 2k
/2 = /2
-15 = k

15-2(-15)=45

15-2k=45
Subtract 15 on both sides so you're left with letters on one side and on the other side numbers. So that would be -
-2k=45-15
-2k=30
Now you divide both sides by two so you get k on it's own and it's value on the other side. So that would be -
k=-15
So k equals -15.
