Answer:

y = 17

Explanation:

the sum of the 3 angles in a triangle = 180° , then

2y + 5y + 61 = 180

7y + 61 = 180 ( subtract 61 from both sides )

7y = 119 ( divide both sides by 7 )

y = 17
