432/(279-63)
Because it said divide by the DIFFERENCE, you have to do the subtraction first which means a parenthesis needs to go around the 279 and 63.

432 divided by the difference between 279 and 63 means finding the difference between 279 and 63 which is 216.

Then 216 will go into 432.

So, we can write it as 432 ÷ (279 - 63).
