Question

Hey, I left my backpack at where i was sitting in a library, and when I went to lost and found they told me that they looked through it to try to find out who's it was, can they do that or should they have just left it i lost and found until I went to get it

they are allowed to do that as long as it was staff who searched it but even then it is pretty intrusive to your privacy.
