Hurry plzzzz i need help!!! 20 points. Describe the graph of the function.

y = 4x2 + 16x – 18

The graph is a parabola with axis of symmetry at x = 18.

The graph is a parabola with axis of symmetry at x = –2.

The graph is a parabola with axis of symmetry at x = 2.

The graph is a parabola with axis of symmetry at x = 4.

x equals negative 2. It says i need to write at least 20 characters so ignore this part, its nonsense :)

Answer:

the graph is a parabola with axis of symmetry at x=2

Explanation:

y = 4x^2 + 16x – 18

To find axis of symmetry we use formula

x= -b/2a

From the given equation , a= 4 , b = 16

Plug in the values in the formula

x= (-b)/(2a) =(-16)/(2(4)) =-2

So x= -2

Hence the graph is a parabola with axis of symmetry at x=2
