What is the difference between food chains and food webs?

Food webs show a single path of energy in an ecosystem, and food chains show all the overlapping food chains in that ecosystem.

I believe the answer would be B. A food chain would show the direct path, but a food web would show all of the possible options? I hope that makes sense...

It should be the second option: food chains show a single path of energy in an ecosystem, and food webs show all the overlapping food chains in that ecosystem.
