Outliers are number(s) that is far apart from one another after ordering from least to greatest.
6,8, 12,14, 15,16 20,31.
In this case 31 is far away from the others, so 31 is the answer.

You order them least to greatest, then take out your mean, median, and mode. Then you've got your outliners left over.
