This is a verdict equivalent to a finding of guilty that establishes the defendant, although mentally ill, was an in sufficient possession of his or her faculties to be morally blameworthy for his or her acts?

There's actually a term for this known as " Guilty but Mentally Ill (GBMI)", although not sufficiently mentally ill so that he(she) can not be held accountable for his(her) actions, refers to a verdict of guilty but mentally ill is equal to a guilty verdict. It refers to perpetrators whose mental illness is insufficient to be free from criminal responsibility.

Guilty but Mentally Ill or GBMI is a judgment offered in some courts in cases relating to an insanity defense. This is where a perpetrator has undoubtedly committed the crimes but is mentally ill. This is a substitute for perpetrators who are mentally ill but whose sickness is not serious enough to dismiss them of criminal accountability.
