The third alternative is correct (C).

The US is one of the most immigrant countries in the world. Most immigrants come from underdeveloped countries with few opportunities and low wages. So, these people come to the country in search of economic advancement. Although jobs are often subaltern, wages are higher than in countries of origin. So the biggest reason for immigration is economic.
