log₃ (x+1) = 3
It could be written:

Answer:

x = 8 is the correct statement.

Explanation:

The given statement is
log_(3)(x+1)=2

Now from the rules of the logarithm

log_(3)(x+1)=2

3^(2)=(x+1) [Since
log_(a)b=c\Rightarrow b=a^(c)]

Therefore
3^(2)=(x+1)

x + 1 = 9

x = 9 - 1 = 8

Therefore answer will be x = 8.
