so you divide 2.19 by 18 and you get .12 so it cost 12 cents per ounce
then you divide 4.39 by 48 and you get .09 so it cost 9 cents per ounce
So it would be better idea to but the 48 ounce jar because it costs less oer ounce of peanut butter

2.19/18 = 0.12167 per ounce
4.39/48 = 0.09 per ounce
the larger jar is the better buy
