What virus causes AIDS?

Before people get AIDS they get HIV. As the HIV destroys the immune system, the virus becomes AIDS.

The virus that causes AIDS is the HIV...it infects cells and enters the immune system and makes the body unable to fight off infections...thus why one of the reasons people get AIDS.
