Casho left her house at time zero and drove for 2 minutes to the store at a speed of 1 block per minute. Then she stopped and went into the store for 6 minutes. From there, she drove in the same direction at a speed of 3 blocks every 2 minutes until she got to the bank, which is 6 blocks away from the store. She stopped at the bank for 7 minutes. Then she drove home at a speed of 2 blocks every minute. Make a graph of showing the number of blocks away from home that Casho is x minutes after she leaves her house, until she gets back home.

The first part of the graph is Casho going to the store at 1 block per minute:

The next part is the time she spent at the store, therefore the time increased but the number of blocks did not:

The following part is Casho going to the bank at a speed of 3 blocks every 2 minutes for a distance of 6 blocks:

Now, we consider the time she spent at the bank:

Finally, Casho drove back home at a speed of 2 blocks per minute.

Answer:

The graph of the whole trip is as follows:

Casho left her house at time zero and drove for 2 minutes to the store at a speed-example-1
Casho left her house at time zero and drove for 2 minutes to the store at a speed-example-2
Casho left her house at time zero and drove for 2 minutes to the store at a speed-example-3
Casho left her house at time zero and drove for 2 minutes to the store at a speed-example-4
Casho left her house at time zero and drove for 2 minutes to the store at a speed-example-5
