A DNA probe has its main purpose to identify different DNA segments and strands while the Human Genome Project was the spearheaded by an organisation wherein the entire genome of a human being is mapped. On the other hand, the polymerase chain reaction is used to copy DNA segments while a plasmid is used to replicate chromosomes.
