Rearrange the formula P = 2(l + b) for b.

A)b = (P - 2l) B) b = P/2 - 2l C) b = P/2 + 2l D) b =1/2 (P - 2l)

i think it is D, since
P = 2(l + b)
÷2
P/2 = l + b
- l
P/2 - l = b
which can be rearranged by multiplying by 2
which gets you
(P - 2l) = 2b
÷ 2 again
then you get
1/2 (P -2l) = b

Answer:

Option (d) is correct.

b=(1)/(2)(P-2l)

Explanation:

Given : Formula P = 2( l + b )

We have to rearrange the given formula for b.

Consider the given formula

P = 2(l +b)

Divide both side by 2, we have,

(P)/(2)=l+b

Now, subtract l both side, we hvae,

(P)/(2)-l=l+b-l

Simplify, we have,

(P)/(2)-l=b

Taking lcm, we have,

(P-2l)/(2)=b

Thus,
b=(1)/(2)(P-2l)

Option (d) is correct.
