To find the area of the logo, as you can see, you take the area of a rectangle then subtract a small rectangle at bottom.

Ill make an illustration. wait a moment

So take the area of the blue rectangle then subtract the area of the orange rectangle

Area of a rectangle is length x width.

Area of the blue rectangle :

A = 12 x 8 = 96 cm^2

Area of the orange rectangle :

A = 6 x 3 = 18 cm^2

So the Area of the Logo will be :

A = 96 - 18 = 78 cm^2

Convert it into the m^2 with the given scale (1 cm = 0.4 m)

Then the area of the Logo in square meters is

12.48 m^2
