Why is refraction so important in eyeglasses.

cause if it's not there the prescription will be wrong or not be right or could damage eyes

Normally glass correct the focus of your eyes making a light concentrate where your receptor is in your eyes. Lens have an optic relations that are based on refraction index that set positions of focus as a function of indexes.
