A. When there is no overtime, the amount of money earned is just based on the hourly rate of $16.
M = 16x

B. With the overtime pay,
T = (16)(30) + 20y = 480 + 20y

C. Use the equation in B and substitute 580 in T
580 = 480 + 20y ; y = 5 hours
