Set the Ys equal to eachother them solve for X
3x-13=-4x+1
+13 to both sides
3x=-4x+14
Add 4x to both sides
7x=14
Divide by 7 to both sides
X=2

soluton 1: y - 3x = -13
solution 2: y + 4x = 1

Graphic organizer: -3x + y = -13 ;
4x + y = 1

Y-intercept in solut9n 1
-4(x) + 1 - 3(x) = -13
-7(x) = -14
7(x) = 14
X-intercept in the first solution would equal to 2

Y-intercepts in both of solutions:
-4(2) + 1

-8. + 1
= -7
Your answer for the y-intercept would have to be -7

X-intercept: 2 ⬅this what you're looking for Y-intercept: -7
