What was the cause of WW2

The first reason why World War 2 happened is likely because of a chain of events that came with warning, but was met with neglect by the world. After Kaiser Wilhelm I was abdicated by the people, imperial German rule was brought to an end. The newly established Weimar Republic was unstable, with little to no militarization (only 100,00 in the military at the time) available to hold order. These turn of events were also caused by the Versailles Treaty, which had many conditions that other leaders (exempting Woodrow Wilson, who believed that the treaty was unfair) had all agreed on. Because of all the chaos, the Nazi Party was able to take power. At the time, many people wanted a leader who would bring change, change that Adolf Hitler promised he would bring, stating later that Jews caused Germany's defeat. He had said this so that the people wouldn't find a way to blame him later on. Fast forward to about a decade later, Germany had wanted to annex Czechoslovakia. An entire invasion was even planned. However, with little regard of the cost (as in neglect), prime minister of England Neville Chamberlain decided to "sell" part of Czechoslovakia to bring world peace, which Winston Churchill had went against, quoting "an appeaser (Neville Chamberlain) feeds a crocodile (representing Germany), thinking that it will eat him last." In other words, Churchill believed that appeasing Germany would either make England weaker, make Germany stronger, or both.

The economic collapse, and the political instability caused by World War I led the rise of fascism in Europe to World War II. The Nazi version of fascism was dedicated to the reversal of the Versailles Treaty and the establishment of a German Empire by means of war and conquest.
