HI IM OFFERING 50 POINTS ON A SHAKESPEARE QUESTION ABOUT MIDSUMMER NIGHTS DREAM!!

Near the end of Act IV Scene I, Demetrius says, "Are you sure that we are awake? It seems to me that yet we sleep, we dream.” Dreams are referred to throughout the play. What is the purpose of dreams in the play? Do the dreams reveal themes or advance the plot, or are they individuals’ interpretation of reality? Use evidence to support your answer

Pt. 1 & Pt. 2 (opinionized)

Shakespeare's plays are still well known, read, and liked today, because the plays speak to common themes and character types that are still relevant to today's society. The language is outdated but, his connection with humanity at a base level was strong, and even now people have not fundamentally changed since his time.

The dreams in the play symbolize the reality and how they were switched around with, lovers who they didn't really like/love.
