Consider the following set of equations:

Equation A: y = 2x + 4
Equation B: y = 3x + 1

Which of the following is a step that can be used to find the solution to the set of equations?

2x + 4 = 3x + 1
2x = 3x + 4
2x + 4 = 3x
2x + 1 = 3x + 4

Consider the following equations:

−x − y = 1
y = x + 3

If the two equations are graphed, at what point do the lines representing the two equations intersect?

(−1, 2)
(−2, 1)
(1, −2)
(2, −1)

1) The answer would be the first one because you have to somehow find x.
2) I would say the answer is the third one (1,-2) because if you substitute the points for x and y you should get the equation to equal 1 and 3.
I hope I have provided you with the correct answers!
