`8^2 / (2* 4)`

start by doing the operation within the parenthesis

`8^2 / (8)`

if there are no more operations within the parenthesis or you can no longer complete the operations within it, then you can remove the parenthesis

`8^2 / 8`

Now you do the exponents

`64 / 8`

Next step would be multiplication or division,

`8`
