1. The candidate has voted for legislation that would make health care for the poor and middle class more accessible.

2. Obviously bias for America but I'm not sure that's a technique, so symbolism? Bush is comparing american resolve to steel-it is unbreakable.

Answer:

The candidate has voted for legislation that would make health care for the poor and middle class more accessible.

Symbolism

Step-by-step explanation:

In the first sentence, the best piece of evidence that the candidate supports the voter's concerns is that the candidate has also voted for legislation that would make healthcare more accessible to vulnerable people. This shows that, just like the voter, he believes in increasing healthcare access for those who need it.

In the second sentence, the president is employing symbolism. The president uses the idea of the foundations of buildings as a symbol for America's foundations. He also employs steel as a symbol for the strength of American resolve.
