Werewolves have long been a myth that haunted children’s dreams. In those legends it was the rising of the full moon that caused men to change into foul, bloodthirsty beasts. Those beasts were half man and half wolf. Is it any wonder, then, that wolves had (and still have) such a bad stigma? Although wolves are not the most gentle of animals, they certainly are not the creatures depicted for years in movies and novels as vicious animals that would tear out your throat the moment they set eyes on you. Granted, it’s best not to get too close, especially when babies are in the litter, but they certainly are not the dark creatures so often depicted. That is just a myth.
