Final answer:

To predict the number of seventh-grade students who would choose summer as their favorite season, we can use proportional reasoning. Based on the data, the most reasonable prediction is that around 204 seventh-grade students in the school would choose summer as their favorite season.

Step-by-step explanation:

To predict the number of seventh-grade students in the school who would choose summer as their favorite season, we can use proportional reasoning. We know that 25% of the seventh-grade students were surveyed, and out of those surveyed, 51 chose summer as their favorite season.

Let's set up a proportion:

25% of x = 51

We can solve this proportion by cross-multiplying:

25x = 51 * 100

25x = 5100

x = 5100 / 25

x = 204

Therefore, the most reasonable prediction is that around 204 seventh-grade students in the school would choose summer as their favorite season.

Well since I don't exactly know if 51 is a lot or a little since I don't know how much 25% of seventh grade students is, but 51 seems like a TON!! so I would believe that that it is very likely for most of the student would choose summer as their favorite, or maybe about 50% :/...
