Answer:

In general, urban populations in the Middle East are increasing quickly.

Step-by-step explanation:

The Middle East is a region which in general has very harsh climate conditions and the living conditions in a big portion of the region are not good for larger human settlements to develop. This has led to a high concentration of population in very small areas while the rest tends to have very little to no population. This trend has increased further with the development of the region and the establishment of urban centers.

More and more people in the Middle East abandone the rural areas or the areas that have bad living conditions and move into the larger urban centers. This has been a process that has been occurring at a very high-scale in the last few decades and continous to do so in the present, with the urban areas experiencing a very quick increase in their populations because they offer the best6 living conditions and opportunities in life. The populations have shifted to the cities so much so that some of the countries in the region are among the ones with the highest urban populations in the world.
