Since the line is parallel to the graph y = 2/3x + 1, then it must have a gradient of 2/3, by definition.

Hence, let's use the point-gradient form:

y - y_1 = (2)/(3)(x - x_1), where (x₁, y₁) are the coordinates we're passing through

y - 3 = (2)/(3)(x - 5)

3y - 9 = 2x - 10

3y = 2x - 1

y = (2)/(3)x + 3
