let cost of hot dog be X
and that of hot dog roll be Y
so,
3X +2Y = 17 --eq 1
5X+4Y = 30 -- eq2
so, multiply eq1 by 5 and subtract it from eq2 multipled by 3
>> 15X + 12 Y - 15X -10Y = 90 - 85
>> 2 Y = 5
>> Y = 5/2 = 2.50 $
option b)
