Answer:

The United Nations help by keeping them out of countries conflicts. Also by helping refugees and providing aid. The UN try to prevent conflicts an keep peace anyways. Hope I helped :)

It teaches people how to stay out of harm's way. I think it also tries to make peace between countries.
