Well usually when you go on a diet, you don't really want gain weight, when you lose 20 pounds on a diet to 20 pounds that you lost got used as energy for your body, if you eat healthy then you can expect to see weight loss.

If someone lost 20 pounds of fat on a diet, where did the fat go?
