Isolate x on one side of the equation.

15+4x=3x-7
15+4x-4x=3x-7-4x
15=-7-x
15+7=-7+7-x
22=-x
x=-22

15 + 4x = 3x - 7

To solve for (x) you must put all of the (Xs) onto one side, and all of the numerical values on the other.

Subtract 15 from both sides.

4x = 3x - 7 - 15

Subtract 3x from both sides.

4x - 3x = -7 - 15

Add like terms.

x = -22

~Hope I helped!~
