Newton's Third Law: Every action has an equal but opposite reaction force. So gravity pulls us down, but the equal reaction force of the earth pushing against you keeps you from falling through the ground.

Would it not be matter? We can not fall through solid matter so I would believe this is the answer. (I haven't had physics so i really don't know.) (I probably sound stupid)
