Biomolecules are divided into 4 groups:
1. Carbohydrates
2. Lipids
3. Proteins
4. Nucleic acids
In the latter, there are two types DNA and RNA.
DNA is responsible for storing the cell's genetic information and its unit is the nucleotide. A nucleotide has a sugar (deoxyribose), a phosphate group and a nitrogenous base. These nucleotides are linked through their phosphate groups to form long chains. And in turn, two strands are joined by hydrogen bridges to form DNA.
