For this case we have the following gross income: 16960$

Tha maximum amount that he can deduct is 7 1/2% = 15/2 %

We can find the percentage from the original income:

0.075 * 16960= 1272

For this particular case the medical expenses were: 812.35$

812.35 - 1272= -459.65

So then he cant deduct, therefore the answer is:
