There would be one answer because you would first subtract 3x from both sides then subtract both sides by 10 and then divide each side by 1 which gives you -17

3x-7=4+6+4x
3x-7+7=4+6+4x+7
3x=4+6+7+4x=17+4x
3x=17+4x
3x-4x=17
-x=17
-1(-x)=-1(17)
x=-17
