Influencing people is a core skill that you have to develop if you wanna lead other people to certain goal, because people follow those leaders that influence them. So, in other to influence people they have to admire you, some skill, intelligence, speech power, being number 1 in your field, these could be things that people could follow.

Pioneers who can ingrain their vision in their subordinates can keep away from normal pioneer slips, for example, micromanagement, by giving their subordinates the vision and direction they have to act.
