If the point (-1/2, y ) lies on the line whose equation is 2 x - 3 y = 6, what is the value of y ?

The answer is -7/3. First put -1/2 for 2x {2(-1/2)} and multiply that should give you -1. Then you do the opposite of -1 which is +1 and add that to 6 which is 7. After you’re going to divide -3y from 7. Which should give you -7/3. Hopes this helps:)
