NEED DESPERATE HELP!

What is the inverse of the function f(x) = 2x + 1?

h(x) = x –
h(x) = x +
h(x) = x – 2
h(x) = x + 2

If f(x) = 2x + 1

let y = 2x + 1

so an easy way to find the inverse is to switch your x and y then make y the subject of the equation so lets do that

let x = 2y + 1

by transposition
x -1 = 2y

(x - 1)/(2) = y

∴ if h(x) is the inverse of f(x) then
h(x) =
y = (x - 1)/(2)

not that that is the same as y = 0.5x - 0.5

f(x)=2x+1\\\\ y=2x+1\\ 2x=y-1\\ x=(1)/(2)y-(1)/(2)\\\\ f^(-1)(x)=(1)/(2)x-(1)/(2)
