Use elimination to find the solution to the system of equations.

6x + 4y = -26 2x + 8y = -42

A. (4, -12.5)

B. (-1, -5)

C. (-3.3, 0)

D. (-2, - 4.75)

what this question is saying is to put all the points A-D into both equations to see if they work. if you plug your points into the equation the answer should be equal to eachother.
After putting points A-D into both equations the answer is B. (-1,-5) is the solution to the two equations.
EQUATION 1: (6x+4y=-26)
6(-1)+4 (-5)=-26
6 (-1)=-6 &4 (-5)=-20
-20+-6=-26
EQUATION 2: (2x+8y=-42)
2(-1)+8(-5)=-42
2 (-1)=-2 & 8(-5)=-42
-2+(-40)=-42
-42=-42
