Let x be an angle measure.Let c be the measure of the complement of the angle and let s be the measure of the supplement of the angle.Write equations for c as a function of x,and for s as a function of x.What is the domain of each function? What is the range of each function? Explain?

comlement is the angle that adds to 90
supplement is the one that adds to 180

x+c=90
x+s=180

solving for s and c
minus x frmo both sides in both equations
c=90-x
s=180-x

c(x)=90-x
s(x)=180-x

the domain has to be the numbers that make c(x) positive (assuming you haven't taken trig)
also, the angle cannot be negative
so x>0
solve for where it equal 0
for c(90) that is the zero and s(180) is the other zero

range is from 0 to the end

c(x)=90-x
domain is from 0 to 90
range is from 0 to 90

s(x)=180-x
the domain is from 0 to 180
range is from 0 to 180
