3x - 6 = x
Subtract x from both sides
3x - x - 6 = x - x
2x - 6 = 0
Add 6 to both sides
2x- 6 + 6 = 0 + 6
2x = 6
divide both sides by 2
2x/2 = 6/2
x = 3
Hope it helps!
