A translation is applied to the triangle formed by the points A(−1, 4) , B(−1, 10) , and C(3, 6) . The image is the triangle that has vertices  A′(3, 4) ,  B′(3, 10) , and C′(7, 6) .

we have that

The coordinates of the pre-image and the image of the triangle are

A(-1,4)----->A'(3,4)

B(-1,10)----->B'(3,10)

C(3,6)----->C'(7,6)

so

The rule of the translation is

(x,y)-------> (x+4,y)

That means

The translation is
4 units to the right

therefore

the answer is

The translation is
4 units to the right
