we know that

The function to find the volume of air inside a basketball is equal to find the volume of a sphere

V(x)=(4)/(3) \pi x^(3)

where

the variable x is the radius of the basketball

so

For
x=r

V(r)=(4)/(3) \pi r^(3)

V(r) represent the volume of the basketball when the radius is r

therefore

the answer is the option B

the volume of the basketball when the radius is r
