Observe the given figure,

Since, Line ST is parallel to the line AC.

Therefore, By Basic Proportionality Theorem which states

" If a line is parallel to a side of a triangle which intersects the other sides into two distinct points, then the line divides those sides in proportion".

Therefore,
(SB)/(SA) = (BT)/(TC)


(10)/(SA) = (9)/(2.7)

By cross multiplying, we get


SA = (2.7 * 10)/(9)

SA = 3 ft

Therefore, the length of SA is 3 feet.
