an ice cube is put into a heated pan. what will most likely happen to the molecules in the ice as the ice is heated

The molecules will begin to move faster.

as the ice is heated, the molecules would start traveling at a faster rate and would expand, so expanding it would make it turn into a liquid form, but since it's being heated, the liquid from melted ice would evaporate.
