Answer: Diameter = 12 meters

Also, the distance around the circle is named as circumference of circle .

Circumference of circle is given by :-

$C=2\pi r\\\\\Rightarrow\ 37.7=2(3.14)r\\\\\Rightarrow\ r=(37.7)/(2(3.14))=6.00318471338\approx6$

Thus , the radius of the circle is 6 meters.

Then, diameter =
$2r=2(6)=12\text{ meters}$
