So we know that the angle next to x is 90° because it's a right angle, so x would be 90-61, which is 29.

X and the adjacent angle (the one that is 61°) are complementary angles. Complementary angles add up to 90°, so you can find the value of x by solving x + 61 = 90.

x + 61 = 90 Subtract 61 from both sides
x = 29

So, x is 29°.
