PLEASE ANSWER At a birthday party 6 girls are wearing blue birthday hats and 6 girls are wearing red birthday hats what's is the probability of 1 of the girls wearing a red birthday hat being randomly chosen to get the first piece of cake?

The answer would be a. Half the girls are wearing blue and half are wearing red so you have a 50% chance of choosing red.

First, we know there are 12 girls because 6+6=12

Then for probability we do the part divided by the whole
# of girls in red hats/total # of girls
SO the answer is 6/12
